Mission Statement and Ethics
The Tri Valley Cricket Foundation (TVCF)
is a non-profit organization focussed on promoting cricket
in the cities of Dublin, Pleasanton, San Ramon and other
East Bay cities. The foundation has a three pronged strategy
for the development of cricket
1) Foster young, players from the ages
7 to 15. In that regard, TVCF has special classes for young
cricketers (http://www.dublinrecguide.com/Activities/ActivitiesCourseDetails.asp?cid=13050)
which are run by professional coach, Mr. Owen Graham. Every
young player who shows potential will get a chance to play
in the Northern California Cricket Association. Players
who excel for the TVCF team will get the chance to represent
the Northern California Region in regional finals as well
national under 13, under 15 and under 19 championships.
2) A cricket team to play in an organized
and disciplined league affiliated to the biggest cricket
organization in Northern California - the Northern California
Cricket Association
(http://www.ncalcricket.org). This cricket team plays 16
to 20 full length cricket games over a period of 6 months
from April to September (http://www.ncalcricket.org/asp/team_detail.asp?team_id=59&mode=)
3) A social cricket team which will
play the shorter version of cricket in a well organized
league (http://www.super25cricket.org/).
This version of cricket will consist of games which will
last (only) 4 hours so that folks can join in without spending
their entire day.
